Somehow, regardless that I've been at my job for just under four months, I have been promoted charge nurse for 3-11 at my job (and have been for about three weeks now.) The charge nurse that was working my shift transfered positions in our building, so I was elected charge nurse from my bosses. Its pretty awesome and I am really proud to tell people I am the charge nurse on the floor, but the added responsibility kinda sucks sometimes. I have extra tasks and jobs that must be completed, and everyone comes to me to solve issues/problems. Some days I think my head is going to fall off from being pulled in a dozen directions at once, and other times its not so bad. My kids are doing pretty good with only seeing mommy in the mornings during the work week. I'm very grateful I have weekends off, and even more grateful I even have a job since so many are unemployed right now.
Our family is doing well. Everyone is healthy and happy. Not much more I could ask for in life.
